Kelly + George’s Summer Wedding
Do you remember the kids across the street from your childhood home that you grew up with and did everything with? Well, for me that is Kelly!
Knowing her since 5th grade and growing up alongside her, I was honored and equally excited when she told me she was engaged and was getting married and wanted me to capture the special day!
Planning a wedding is hard work, but planning a wedding internationally is even harder! Kelly met her sweetheart George when studying abroad in the UK! Making it a long distance relationship when she came back to the states wasn’t easy but they persevered!
All throughout their planning process they had the additional stress of gathering, filling out and submitting all the paperwork needed to make sure Kelly could join George in the UK shortly after their wedding. While stressful, they both did not let it take away from the excitement of their upcoming special day!
On a record breaking humid June Saturday, Kelly and George’s wedding day had finally arrived! We were sweating the second we stepped from the car as the air was simply that thick. All throughout the day George and his family could not believe how humid it was and we often replied “Your getting the true southern summer weather experience!”
As Kelly started getting ready she never let a smile leave her face! It was clear she could not wait to marry the love of her life. George equally excited could not wait to see Kelly and was counting the minutes until he could!
After a beautiful ceremony filled with kind words, love and music, they were married and ready to celebrate! They gave many hugs and made official in person introductions to all of their friends and family during their reception.
As they made their grand exit through a stream of bubbles and exciting shouts of love, they were off to start their new lives together, with hopes of no distance keeping them apart!
I am excited to say that after great determination and patience, Kelly was able to get her paperwork approved and joined George in the UK!!!!
